Safeguarding at St Emilie’s ALL Parish volunteers involved in activities involving children, including Acolytes & Special Ministers (in accordance with the Archdiocesan Safeguarding procedures), are required to hold a VALID Working With Children Card. It is the responsibility of all such volunteers to ensure that their card is up to date and that a copy of the LODGEMENT RECEIPT and/or CARD are provided to the Parish Office. This is a LEGAL REQUIREMENT and failure to comply will mean that volunteers will be asked to refrain from assisting in Church activities until their WWCC has been approved and received. We appreciate that all volunteers give willingly of their time and thank you in advance for assisting our Parish to comply with legislation. Volunteers are also required to complete Form 2 and Form 18 of the Safeguarding Handbook as a directive of the Safeguarding Office – copies of these forms are available from Ministry Leaders.
