Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist
This Ministry provides an opportunity for lay people, men and women, to be involved in distribution of Holy Communion in both species, i.e. the Body and the Blood, during Mass.
Extraordinary Ministers also serve the community by taking communion to the sick in their homes and to Aged Care Facilities.
Extraordinary Ministers joining St. Emilie’s from other Parishes can directly assume their Ministry.
Those interested need to contact the Parish Priest. On acceptance, the person will receive training before being commissioned in the ministry for 2 years.
