Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA)
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the journey where young adults and adults are initiated into the Roman Catholic Church. The program is a journey of exploration and gentle spiritual growth in weekly shared sessions and marked by liturgical rites in the presence of the Parish community. It is designed to strengthen the catechumenate in preparation for their fruitful celebration in the Sacrament of Initiation – Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist – at Easter. This journey of faith formation is accompanied by lay-catechists. Newly-baptised Catholics embark on and join the Catholic community in a continuing and deepening conversion into faith and discipleship.
This Rite is open to anyone who freely seeks to:
- be initiated into
- complete his/her initiation into
- know more about the faith of the one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church.
Each weekly session lasts 2 hours. Please enquire with the Coordinator for the day and time .
